Really good food and value for the money. I ordered the vegetable skillet which had potatoes, broccoli, spinach, eggs, Swiss cheese, peppers, and onions. It was very good and hot. It came with your choice of toast or pancakes. I got the pancakes, and they gave me two large pancakes. Needless to say, I could not finish the food. Service is also good here. I got all of this for about $8 plus tax. What a deal. This is my second time here and I will definitely return again.

Cool little joint near downtown. Formally Chicago's Pizza back on the day. Stopped by here with the wife since we had pawned of both kids the night before. It was a lazy Saturday morning about 9am. The place was moderately full. The staff was plentiful and friendly. The menu was full of great looking items and I finally settled on the Sloppy Skillet (despite the name conjuring up disturbing imagery...) Our waiter had no sooner taken our order and walked away when he returned with our food. I was like, Dang, Speedy McGee!" The service was excellent. Everything was awesome and tasted delish. The price seemed fair. Atmosphere was relaxing and chill. We'll prolly be back sometime - when the little monsters spend the night elsewhere and don't wake me up at the crack of dawn...doing cartwheels on my head and yelling for pancakes.

This place is fantastic. The portions are huge. And it's so cheap. My standard breakfast is the sloppy skillet. Bacon, ham, tomatoes, peppers, onions, hash browns, eggs, cheese, and gravy served with two pancakes on the side for under $8. My daughter and I split it and never finish it all. We also love the biscuits, the fried mush, and the manhattans.

After driving 5hrs we were in need of a good lunch...found Cackleberries on yelp, good reviews so thought we would give them a try. Great find, we had a tasty lunch and a wonderful welcome from Tammie & the staff...they made us welcome and wished us well for our ongoing journey, lovely:)

Portions are huge! Pancakes were some of the best I've ever had. Veggie skillet was awesome. Eddy was our server and was one of the most efficient waitresses I've ever seen - very kind.

Favorite brunch place in town. Food comes in large portions for the price. I always get some kind of skillet. The Denver and Olympian skillets are my personal favorites. The skillets come with pancakes or toasts, and a slice of orange for some reason. The creamy iced coffee is really good if they don't put too much ice in it. Tried a croissant sandwich once, and it was super yummy. It can get very busy on Sunday morning #Church, but the longest wait I've had was fifteen minutes. Very nice staff too. I'm confident to say that Cackleberries is the king of Sunday brunch.

When your hungover and need a solid breakfast this is your place! When your looking for a breakfast place that has it all, then this is your place! Close to campus, reasonably priced, big portions, and tastey! What more do you want?? The sloppy skillet comes highly recommended.

Best breakfast establishment in Terre Haute. Great atmosphere and even better food. Always a Sunday morning tradition when I am in town.

Always great service and food. The menu is rather large, but that means there's always something to choose from.

I've only eaten here once. While the food wasn't terrible, I also wasn't particularly impressed. From the way some people had raved, I was expecting something great and that just wasn't delivered in my opinion.

Everything about this place is good. Hearty portions and yummy food. Fruit bowl was particularly tasty, fresh and big. Service was friendly even though the place was packed. Ask for the definition of a cackleberry, and the owner will tell you about her grandpa, complete with visual effects. Enjoy!

Breakfast skillets are huge, filling, and super tasty. Cackleberries gives you a lot of food for a very reasonable price and also offer daily specials some of which include coffee with your breakfast. Even though they were rather busy, service was great and the food was brought out quickly. The menu is extensive so you may need to take time to really read what you are getting because they do have more than just your standard boring breakfasts.

Have been here a few times now. The Pecan Waffle is great! The biscuits and gravy is awesome. And Iced coffee is done right. My only complaint was the pancakes.. My daughter ordered pancakes with blueberries, the blueberries had ZERO flavor. It was a gelatinous purple glaze with no flavor and flavorless blueberries. It was literally tasteless. I was disappointed because for a Brunch type place I would expect this to be a staple and done right. Over all we will most likely return but not order blueberry pancakes. Lol

Not incredibly inventive, but Cackleberries does breakfast skillets well. Our table had 4 different skillets and we were all happy with them. The skillets start with a base of hash browns, add meat, cheese, veggies, gravy, and top with two eggs cooked to order. The skillets were cooked as well as one could ask for, but the side of pancakes were disappointing. Dry and flavorless. Do yourself a favor and order toast instead. But really, for $7 this meal comes with a large amount of food in the skillet plus toast or pancakes on the side, so who could complain? Overall a great value for a nice little breakfast spot.

Great breakfast skillets and pancakes. Lunch menu items are not as good as breakfast selections. Very busy but seating is fast.

I frequent this place 2-3 a month for lunch. I have also gone for breakfast a few times. EVERY meal I have had was good, some were GREAT! Irish Skillet is amazing. So is their sloppy skillet. Enough food for 2! Their Gyros are tasty, as is their Gyro Salad. Tender beef and lamb, moist, and spiced just right. Their Manhattans are great, ( I have had all 4!). I recommend their Roast Beef or Turkey selection. Great Pecan Waffles.......sinfully good. It can get crowded and a bit noisy, but that just means business is good and it speaks for itself. An empty restaurant means the food is not good! The servers are kind, sincere, and polite. You really feel you stepped back in time when people actually were nice when you visited their establishment. Don't miss out on this gem in Terre Haute. I love this place.

My family really enjoyed the food at CackleBerries. Three of us had breakfast items and one had lunch. The Omelet was very good, the breakfast bowls were awesome and the club sandwich was tasty. It was loud and crowded, but everyone seemed to be having a great experience. We will return to CackleBerries when visiting my son at ISU.

The food selection is good, and taste good enough. Nothing outstanding. Prices were a little high for this type of restaurant. The service was terrible, which I found out of others is par for course. Our waitress was on another planet. We had to flag someone down to take an order, flag them down for drink refills, flag them down for a check. So, basically, bring a flag with you. I also didn't get my side until 20 minute after diner. It was supposed to be a Greek potato. Might have been better warm, but it was plain nasty, cold

Love it. Cackleberries is great. The food is hot and tasty and the service is fast and friendly. I have eaten there for both breakfast and lunch and got great food and service both times. I know very little about the establishment or the owners, but they're doing something right.

Similar to an IHOP or Dennys but with a hometown feel. Great service, friendly servers. food much better than chain places with similar menus Its close to library and ISU. Great for breakfasts

They one time gave me coleslaw instead of cottage cheese in my to-go order. I called them up and told them. I said it was no big deal but wanted to let them know. They turned around and delivered some to my work. Now that is customer service.

Decent breakfast, friendly service, and affordable price.

I visited this restaurant with a group. We all had different things but we all agreed the food was simply not good. The service was good and the food came out quickly but more attention need to be placed on the quality of the food. We had pancakes that day that were beyond bad. Almost as if someone forgot an important ingredient.

The place can get busy. It is decently prices and the food is good. It's your typical mom and pop breakfast and lunch diner. Has some Greek influence on the menu. I would recommend it to people for a good breakfast spot.
(4)Trent D.
I am a big fan of this place. The way I would describe it to someone is a very high class Dennie's with some Greek flair. I will the the breakfast menu is average for the area. The lunch menu is very good. High quality ingredients and always fresh.
